Strain Echocardiography / GLS echo This new modality of 2-D and 3 D imaging adds up more information in routine Echocardiography and thus help in diagnosis as well as prognostication of cardiac diseases. Velocity and displacement of heart muscles studied in different views will help these machines to objectively assess the strain or deformation of major chamber ie left ventricle.
